During last years' Springwatch, Gordon Buchanan, the intrepid wildlife cameraman, stalked his local streets around Glasgow in the still of night to bring us Fox Diary.

This year he's on a different mission and could be coming to your doorstep as he goes in search of members of the public with really special stories.
The Springwatch team have a fabulous time doing what we do. But we've also learnt over the years, via the Springwatch website, message boards and all the home video content which is sent in, our viewers also have an incredible involvement with wildli
fe - and now we want to come and meet you!

Gordon will be travelling the length and breadth of the UK to meet you and the wildlife which has become part of your lives. He wants to see those really special sights you regularly see on your local patch.

He'll be looking for a variety of stories in a range of places. Maybe your life has been transformed by wildlife. Or your job gives you a unique view of wildlife - like the Cornish copper whose patrol route has become a miniature wildlife safari.

You might even be part of a community which has a common interest in wildlife - just like the people of Gateshead who have embraced the urban wildlife around the Metro Centre, including launching a red kite bus service.

Gordon will be out there to witness these ongoing wildlife relationships and hope to bring you closer to the subject with expert tips and advice.

Gordon will be out on the road from the end of March for a month.

So if you have a wildlife wonder to share with Gordon and the rest of the nation - simply get in touch - go to www.bbc.co.uk/springwatch and click on WILD THINGS.

Then simply fill in the form giving your details and a short description of your wildlife wonder and who knows, Gordon could be on his way to see you!

Each film will be shown during Springwatch 2008 which begins Monday 26th May on BBC2 for three weeks.
