Six musicians from six very different musical backgrounds each add their own distinctive sound to Frayed Knot's fusion of Celtic folk and pop chart rhythm.
Whilst the band doesn't have any direct influences, the sound probably lies somewhere between JS Bach and Beautiful South with a good dose of Celtic energy underpinning the tunes.

When they play live, they are only concerned about one thing – getting everyone in the house to shake theirs.

The band are made up of vocalist Sian Tower, Dominic Hewitt on guitar, bass and vocals from Mark Henley, Dave Halford on keyboards, Rachel Bolton on violin and vocals, and Pete Bolton on drums.

The group met through sailing on Carsington Water.
