POST punk, indie and rock will be on offer at the next instalment of Band Xplosion.
The Fishpond Pub in Matlock Bath will be hosting another eclectic lineup tomorrow (Friday) from 8pm.

The popular club night will kick off with Derbyshire three-piece Pint Of Mild belting out classic tunes ranging from Elvis Costello to The Cult.

Nottingham-based Starscreen will be playing a distinctive mix of rock and psychedelia and Derby band The Souvenirs will be headlining the event.

The Souvenirs will be promoting their recent debut single The 21st Century.

The indie four-piece recorded the song in April and it has been produced by London-based producers and record label owners The Animal Farm.

They have also filmed a promotional video, which is set to be screened by the BBC at all the major festivals this summer, as well as on the city centre big screens of Nottingham and Derby.

The band has supported The Pigeon Detectives, The Rakes and The Rumble Strips, and made an appearance on Steve Lamacq's national radio show.

The new single will be available on iTunes and other online music stores, and the band is hoping to secure enough downloads to enter the charts.
