Choir's classics for mothers

Mother's day music will be taking place with an evening of classical anthems.
Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir, one of the biggest and best choral groups in the area, will be singing uplifting tunes at a concert in Chesterfield's Central Methodist Church on Saturday.

Music will include Handel's Coronation Anthems, melodies of Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine and Requiem.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for pensioners and £6 for children aged 16 to five, from Chesterfield Tourist Information Office, JMJ Pottery or CopyXpress on Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield.

The concert starts at 7.30pm.
