A farm will be transformed into a music venue on Saturday July 11, during the fifth annual Whatstandwell Festival.
The popular event – which costs £5 per person – will be held at Hankin Farm on New Road with music running continuously from 4pm to 11pm.

Seven bands will play live including Coco's Lovers, Some Kinda Mushroom, Shot Shot Stacey, David Gibb, Stuck
in 2nd, Mexican Kids At Home and Back Of The Class.

Whatstandwell Social Club chairman Mark Haslam said: "We have the best line-up of live music we have yet seen, with bands contacting us asking to play at the festival.

"We see this as a huge complement to our event, demonstrating the respect that the musical community holds for the festival.

"It will be a great place to get together with family and friends in a relaxed setting, while sampling some of the best local beers and good wines, with a background of fantastic live music, and because we have an enclosed barn, we don't have to worry about the weather," he added.

Coco's Lovers are a seven-piece roots and folk band who trade instruments throughout their set.

Shot Shot Stacey are a ska seven-piece, complete with brass section, who will be playing a mix of originals and classics.

David Gibb is an acoustic artist who plays good old-fashioned jovial, quirky, British pop music. He has received airplay on BBC Radio Two and Radio One and also features Whatstandwell in his video.

James Warner Prophecies, a Derby-based mix of heavy rock, acoustic and indie, with an original and unconventional sound, will also be playing, along with the ambient acoustic driven electronica of Lo-Fi Lung.

The new addition to this year's festival will be the acoustic tent, where organisers aim to showcase more local talent away from the main stage.

It is hoped that this will give some younger and less experienced musicians a chance to hone their talents.

Admission includes a free souvenir glass. Camping is available.
