A funky Brazilian four-piece will have Dales hips shaking during its energetic live show.
Caratinga will bring its blend of South American swing and Latin rhythm to Ashford in the Water on Saturday, March 14.

The band's music features foot-stomping Samba, hip-swaying Bossa Nova, the odd lovely waltz and shades of Carmen Miranda.

The
great variety and lovely melodies all from just one country will simply take your breath away. Caratinga's live show features instrumentals, known as choro, and classic Samba songs.

Expect songs about surfing the famous Amazonian Pororoca wave, an upbeat song about regret and hear music from the band's new album.

Not only is the quality of the music really good, but Caratinga are a really entertaining band to watch.

Look out for the great communication between the band members – throwing the music backwards and forwards, laughing and joking, dipping in and out with great skill on some unusual percussion instruments.

The band features three Brazilians and one Briton who plays a Brazilian seven-string guitar. Between them they play an impressive range of instruments.

Caratinga will perform at Ashford War Memorial Institute at 7.30pm.
