National horse trials ride into showground

BAKEWELL is getting set to host one of the most important equestrian events of the year when the British Horse Society TREC trials arrive in the town.
The three-day trials, which will be held at Bakewell Showground on August 15, 16 and 17, will include the final selection trial for riders hoping to reperesent Great Britain in the World TREC championships in September.

The event also features competitions at a number of levels for riders of horses and ponies.

It all starts at 7pm on Friday, August 15 at the showground. Spectator admission is free.
