AN ACCLAIMED poetry group will bring its fusion of roots music and spoken word to Matlock on Saturday, February 20.
Mark Gwynne Jones and the Psychicbread will perform a fresh and original show – featuring poetry, rhythm and film – from 7.30pm at the Imperial Rooms.

Catherine Rawas, who is helping organise the event, said: "They are guaranteed to capture both y
our imagination and heart in this inspirational and entertaining show.

"If you only see one show in Matlock this year, it should be Mark Gwynne Jones and the Psychicbread.

"Described as a powerful act capable of transforming the mundane into magical landscapes and leading an audience through bewildered innocence to laughter and dance, the show tours to the delight of audiences far and wide."

Through a mix of ethnic percussion, piano, kora and flute, the Psychicbread support the spoken words with their music.

The event has been organised by community interest company MatlockLive!, which aims to channel its resources back into the community.

Tickets cost £5 in advance from The Music Shop, on Dale Road, in Matlock, and Cut Above, on Firs Parade, or by calling 07947 689686.

Otherwise, admission costs £6 on the door.
