RUGBY-PLAYING shopkeeper Andrew Jepson sold his business and jetted out to Italy with his phrase book in the 1980s.

As a member of the Cromford Meadows-based Old Baileans Rugby Club for 20 years, he first went to San Benedetto del Tronto on the east coast of the country to help set up a club twinning arrangement.

However, he then took the life-changing decision to the live and work there as a freelance sports entrepreneur.
