These happy youngsters were enjoying a day out by the seaside.
The boys were from the 5th Matlock Scouts on a camping trip to Rhyl, in Wales.
The picture was taken in the late 1940s.
Rhyl was a popular destination at that time offering family-friendly attractions in the days before holidays abroad became common.
The owner of the photograph is Roy Askew, of Smedley Street, Matlock.
He can be seen pictured in the middle row of the snap.
Alongside him are Neil Jury, Graham Walker, John Croft and John Chamblin.
Do you know what the names of the other two boys in the picture are?
