Cammell Laird 2-2 Matlock Town
MATLOCK Town were held on Merseyside, thwarting hopes of climbing out of the relegation zone on Saturday.

Chris Adamson twice put the hosts ahead, once from the spot, only for Jamie Jackson and Ross Hannah to strike back for Town.

But, Buxton's home goalless draw aside, other fixtures did not favour the Gladiators, who remain above the Lairds on goal difference.

Whitby and Witton's game was postponed due to high winds on the Yorkshire coast, giving the Seasiders - a point ahead of Matlock - a game in hand over the Gladiators, while Boston's win at North Ferriby will be a real blow to Matlock manager Mark Atkins and his side.

By the time Matlock host perennial bogey team Marine next Saturday, Whitby will have played play-off hopefuls Hednesford (Wednesday), while Witton will have taken on Nantwich and Cammell Laird have travelled to doomed Leigh Genesis (Tuesday).
