A seven-year-old Cromford girl was hit by a car in Matlock on Saturday, in one of several road accidents over the last few days.
She suffered bruises in the incident which involved a Volkswagen Passat, said a police spokeswoman.

The girl got up immediately and was able to walk to a bus stop. The driver was treated for shock, said police.

On Monday morning, a car collided with a van near the humpback bridge in the Chatsworth estate, in icy conditions. A woman was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Her injuries were not serious, said police.

Two cars collided at Matlock Green on Friday, at the Lime Tree Road junction. Some of the occupants sustained minor injuries.

A Jaguar and a Volkswagen Polo collided near Edensor Post Office. Both cars were drivable after the crash. A female was treated for neck pain at the scene.
