Cheer-up plea to council

Madam,
I read with disbelief that businesses and jobs would go, due to the planners and the signs on these premises.
I understand the conservation argument about alterations, windows and doors etc in a conservation area but this is a shopping place we are talking about here!
People want to shop in a cheerful environment. I can see nothing wrong with the signs involved.
How did Dimple Road Dales Housing get their purple illuminated sign passed, that is worse than the ones on your front page.
Also Maazi had to back down on his tuk tuk car, when on the local news a Derby restaurant had done the same thing with full approval.
When will Matlock move on with the times.?
