Madam,

I would like to express appreciation to the county council and its drivers for their efforts in keeping local roads open despite the recent extreme weather conditions.
I travelled on the Ashbourne/Buxton road and the roadside banks of snow cleared by snow ploughs must have been eight feet or so in depth.

The Derbyshire County Council drivers have done a remarkable job. The county and its staff deserve recognition for their commitment.
