A 12-year-old girl was thrown from a car after a crash at Tansley.
The girl suffered neck, back and internal injuries after a collision between two cars – a Jaguar X-type and a Peugeot 106 – at Lickpenny Lane on Saturday at 9.20pm.

She was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital along with a man in his 30s, who was also travelling in the Peugeot, who had injuries to his chest, arms and legs. Police said yesterday that the girl's injuries were not life-threatening.

Both drivers were uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Call Derbyshire Constabulary on 0845 123 33 33.
