Swimmers will be making a splash for charity at Willersley Castle in Cromford.
Matlock residents Hazel Mottram and Sadie Packard are taking part in a sponsored swim to raise money for a health clinic in The Gambia.

The project, to provide medical facilities in the Jokadu District for some of the poorest people in Africa, has been set up by Geoffrey and Julie Henson from Stanton Lees.

Trustees of the project Hazel and Sadie, visited the Gambia to see the work that had been taking place.

Mr Henson said: "They have supported the project from the beginning and were so impressed with what they saw they thought they would organise something when they got home to raise more money."

The sponsored swim will be taking place on May 19.

To donate money call Hazel on 01629 734996.
