STRICTLY come dancing star Tom Chambers waltzed into the next round despite ending up in the bottom two on the leaderboard.
Despite suffering from the flu the Darley Dale born actor proved he was a smooth mover by performing two dances on the Saturday night hit show.

For his waltz to Moon River head judge Len Goodman gave Tom his first ten.

He said: "That was fantastic. There were a few little mistakes, like your posterior still moving outwards, but I'm totally ignoring them."

Arlene Phillips, added: "It had charisma, control, it was beautiful."

Tom and his dance partner Camilla Dallerup rounded off the night with a Samba to Mr Melody by Nat King Cole.

Bruno Tonioli said: "It was "camper than a row of tents. An explosion of fun."

However Craig Revel Horwood felt it "needed containing and calming down" and Len added: "It was a bit repetitive, but I thought the flavour of the dance was brilliant."

After all the scores were in Tom found himself second from the bottom of the leaderboard but with public support escaped the dance-off and is now one of just four celebrities left in the competition.
