Budding Picassos unleashed their creative sides and transformed their classrooms into art galleries.
Pupils at Wirksworth Federation of Infants Schools took inspiration from the works of famous artists to create a colourful display in the school.

The youngsters invited other children to come and admire their work, pick up tips and learn about different artists.

The school is also celebrating its Artsmark status – a prestigious award presented by the Arts Council to recognise commitment to art.

Headteacher Jo Poyser said: "The children had a wonderful time creating pieces of artwork and making their classrooms into mini art galleries.

"The creativity and imagination the children have shown during the week has been fantastic and all the children learnt a lot from looking at each others work."
