Matlock hotel appeal

PLANNERS of a rejected hotel scheme for Matlock are appealing the council's decision.
Derbyshire Dales District Council turned down plans to transform the former Old English on Dale Road into a 60-bedroom complex.

Heart Hotels, which owns the building, claims the hotel would bring more people into the town and give a boost to the economy.

Now that the basement has been turned back into a night-club, I can't see how it is possible to convert the rest of the building into a full hotel.
