Teenagers attacked in Wirksworth

Two teenagers were attacked in Wirksworth on Saturday night.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm as the two 16 year olds from Derby were on their way home after using the town's skate park.

They were waiting for a bus near to the Fish Bar in the Market Place, when three youths, aged around 17 and 18 attacked them.

One boy said he was punched in the face three times while his friend was hit around the head with his skateboard.

One youth worn a yellow tee-shirt, another wore a black and white striped top. All were wearing black tracksuit bottoms.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should contact the police on 0345 123 33 33 or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
