CYCLISTS have been warned to be careful and vigilant after three bikes were stolen in one town at the weekend.
Thieves stole a Stealth Tropicana bicycle from beside house on Dale Road in Matlock on Friday evening.

Then a Shockwave mountain bike was taken from the front garden of a house in Hurst Rise at noon on Sunday.

And a Diamond BMX was taken from the back garden of a house on Hawthorne Drive, between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Derbyshire Dales crime reduction officer Pc John Riley said: "Bicycle owners should make sure their bikes are secured at all times.

"They can be secured with chains or where possible, locked away in sheds or garages."
