Conservation skills are being kept alive in Wirksworth to care for listed buildings.
The National Stone Centre is doing its bit to fight the shortage of people with traditional skills by offering specialist courses.

There are over five million pre-1919 properties, according to a report from the National Heritage Training Group, and a lack of crafts men able to maintain them.

Weekend taster courses right through to those thinking of taking it up as a profession are available.

Contact the centre to book your place.
