AN ENTREPRENEUR says villagers have given his multi-million pound regeneration plans the thumbs-up, after he showcased the designs on Saturday.
Colin Hall consulted Stoney Middleton residents on his bid to build between ten and 20 houses, a heritage and community centre, café and tourist accommodation at Rock Mill Business Park, on The Dale.

Over 40 visitors completed surveys about the scheme and potential village improvements.

Affordable housing, employment and improved social facilities topping residents' wishlists.

Mr Hall, who co-owns the site with his brother David, said: "It was a very well-received presentation receiving total backing and support, prompting good feedback."

The open day at the village primary school included outline design plans, which Mr Hall has promised to refine.

Stoney Middleton Parish Council has welcomed the proposals and the national park authority has held "some early discussions" with the Halls.
