AN ENVIRONMENT project launched its new educational scheme with an insect day at a Dales primary school.
The Matlock-based Little Green Space project visited Wessington Primary School and held a Magnificent Mini-beasts session with pupils.

Little Green Space director Penny Bunting said: "We had a very enjoyable morning and the children were keen to learn about mini-beasts and their habitats.

"The children at Wessington Primary School are lucky to have a fantastic nature reserve on their doorstep.

"They also have wonderful school grounds packed with wildlife-friendly features that are great for outdoor learning and encouraging an interest in nature," Penny added.

Little Green Space was designed to increase awareness within our community of environmental issues, climate change and the loss of animal habitats.
