Budding engineers pulled together to clinch silver in a junior engineering contest.
A team from Stoney Middleton CE Primary School finished second in the Derbyshire Engineering Design Challenge in Ripley last week.

Teams designed hand-operated water pumps before competing in a 30-second pumping race.

Headteacher Chris Tupling said: "Our children have excellent team skills and work very closely together.

"As a village primary school, to come second against teams from larger schools shows how well the children have done. Both the school and the pupils' parents are immensely proud of their achievements."
