Haddon’s gardens, near Bakewell, have been up-dated by Chelsea award winning designer Arne Maynard and made the perfect setting for visitors to meet Alan.

Alan said: “This year is a rather special one for me as it is 50 years since I began gardening for a living. Fifty years of experience have not provided me with all the answers but I hope to encourage more people to take up the spade by sharing the sheer pleasure I still get from growing. Horticulture matters, and as any visitor to Haddon Hall will experience, being among plants is the greatest privilege on earth.”
