A 70-year-old man was rescued from the River Wye after getting stuck up to his waist in mud.
The man, who had been fishing close to the Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell, slipped 150 yards down the river bank.
He tried to climb out of the deep mud for over an hour but called the emergency services after sinking to waist height.
Police, ambulance service, water rescuers and fire crews searched for the man after getting a call at around 6pm on May 31.
The man, from Cheshire, was eventually pulled free from the river at around 7pm and assessed by paramedics at the scene.
He did not need hospital treatment.
