A BISTRO in Matlock has entered the race to become The 2012 Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year.
Stones, on Dale Road, already holds two AA rosettes but is now hoping for more accolades by entering the prestigious awards for the first time.
It is run by head chef Kevin Stone, partner, Jade Himsworth, and his sister, Katie Temple.
Jade confirmed: “We are entering the Good Food Guide Awards because we feel they’re the ones that most closely reflect the opinions of real diners.
“We also think it’s a unique chance for us to really bang the drum for Matlock and to showcase produce from the incredible local suppliers in the area.”
Kevin added: “As a chef, it’s a really exciting time to be part of the food and restaurant industry in this country.”
Votes close on Monday, April 23, before ten regional winners are announced. Diners can vote for Stones Restaurant online at http://www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/awards
