DARTS legend Steve ‘The Bronzed Adonis’ Beaton came to a Belper pub for a charity match.
The darts challenge at the George and Dragon, on Bridge Street, took place on Friday and raised cash for the Air Ambulance.
Landlord Craig Tennick said: “We had 16 players take on Steve each having a leg of 701 against the former Embassy World champ.
“Mick Povey - landlord of our local darts rivals the Thorntree on Chesterfield Road - was the only darts player to beat Steve following a little wager between the two of them which raised an extra £60 - taking the total up to £260. “The only other person to beat Beaton was ten-year-old George ‘The Power’ Deeming who took Steve on in a quick 101 leg. George finished off in eight darts - starting off with 83 with his first three darts!”
Steve won The World Masters in 1993.
