Windows have been wowing shoppers across Matlock as part of an annual contest.

The town’s traders have been getting in to the festive spirit and taking part in the Christmas window dressing competition.

Matlock Antiques Centre, on Dale Road, won the trophy for the Best Christmas Selling Window for the third year running for their masked ball display.

While Indigo Furniture, also on Dale Road, was presented with the accolade for The Best Christmas Themed Window.

Richard Short, of Matlock Business Group, who helped judge the contest, said: “We looked at all of the shops and there were several contenders.

“Customers like to see the windows brightened up for Christmas.”
