Wobbly fun was had by all as a Matlock Bath theme park hosted a world record attempt.

Gulliver’s Kingdom invited visitors to see if they could smash the current world record for the most jelly eaten in one minute using only chopsticks.

The current record stands at 610 grams currently held by Ashrita Furman of New York, USA.

Dean Kimberley of Gulliver’s said: “It started raining very hard indeed to the point that the plates had more rain on them than jelly. Luckily Gulliver’s were able to move the attempt indoors where the fun carried on.”

The winner, Robert Greenwood from Pisa, Italy (originally from Stoke) ate 340grams (270grams short of the world record).

Robert did not break the world record but won a family ticket to return to Gulliver’s on his next visit to the UK.
