GOING, going, gone...
Children were given a lesson in demolition as workmen move onto the grounds of Middleton Community Primary School where they bulldozed the old infants classroom to make way for a brand new building complete with meeting room and modern facilities.
The old mobile classrooms have stood for over 35 years and served generations of pupils, but it took just two hours to tear it down.
Headteacher Sarah I’Anson said: “These are exciting times for Middleton School and its growing community.
“It’s the result of years of debate, support from the local authority and financial planning.”
The new building will be completed in the coming months.
