WORKERS at a brewery are raising a glass in celebration yet again after beating off stiff competition at an international contest.
Thornbridge Brewery, in Bakewell, took home the bronze medal at the ninth bi–annual Brewers Association World Beer Cup for Thornbridge’s Raven.
The beer was victorious in the American style black ale category.
Simon Webster, Thornbridge’s chief operating officer, said: “With 71 breweries from the UK entering the competition and only two winning awards this highlights the intensity of the competition.
“We are obviously delighted that Raven was successful as it is winning a growing number of fans in the UK, the US and in Europe.”
