BUSINESSES are being encouraged to get out in the open for a new style of networking.

Derbyshire-based company Skylark Activities has introduced netwalking, which combines networking with going out for a walk.

The next event will start and end at Cromford Mill on Thursday, April 20.

Netwalking has been designed to help businesses get to know people with similar interests and walking ability with a view to building business relationships for the future.

Paul Hunt, of Skylark Activities, said: “The idea of networking is to find people you get on with and who you would like to build business relationships with. We’ve heard from so many people that they find it difficult making a start into networking and others even shy away from them. So we want to help the business community by putting on a different type of networking event.”

Paul Hunt added: “With no formalities and no fixed agendas, you will have freedom to walk and chat about anything. If there are any awkward quiet moments you can usually find a talking point with nature as your inspiration.”

It is essential to book for the free event on www.skylarkactivities.com.
