A TEAM of Gulliver’s staff completed a gruelling 27-hour overnight walk to raise more than £3,000 for a children’s charity.

Dubbed “The Giant Stride”, the walk saw 16 employees walk 100km from Gulliver’s in Warrington to Matlock, for Dreams Come True. The money raised so far is enough for the charity to grant the wishes of at least three seriously or terminally ill children.

The walk was the first in a series of events to raise money for Dreams Come True, Gulliver’s charity of the year.

Gulliver’s Dean Kimberley, who completed the walk, said: “Every person who took part gave 100 per cent – it was a huge team effort. It was tougher than any of us imagined but the support from everyone along the way, especially those at the rest stops, was just brilliant.”
