Tarmac has lent its support to Wirksworth Heritage Centre’s community exhibition with a £500 donation.
Young and old residents worked together on a project ‘Ipods, Baboons and Crocodile Shoes’ led by consultant curator Rosa Straw.
The group recorded each other’s lives using photography and artwork.
Joanna Faulkner chair of the Heritage Centre said: “Tarmac saw the value of the project and stepped in. We are very grateful and are now putting the finishing touches to the exhibition; we cannot wait to see the results.”
Rebecca Slater, unit manager at Tarmac’s Dene quarry added: “I’m looking forward to seeing the exhibition and hope that our donation helps us give something back to the local community.”
