There will be spooky goings on this weekend as traders celebrate Halloween with a spooky party in the park.

Matlock Town Team will be hosting SpookFest this Saturday in Hall Leys Park.

Between noon and 8pm there will be live bands, a fair, apple bobbing and facepainting.

Matlock Live will be providing games for youngsters and there will be a selection of great prizes to be won by children and adults who come in fancy dress, or bring carved pumpkins or scarecrows.

There will be a host of stalls run by local businesses as well as food.

Storyteller of the Year, Sam Aitken, will be telling a chilling tale or two. Further information is available by visiting the ‘Matlock SpookFest’ page on Facebook.
