Buxton residents hit out at bottling plant bid
Express Park Buxton have applied to build a water bottling factory, using Rockhead Spring, at the disused limestone quarry, off the A6.
The proposal also involves the removal and crushing of approximately a million tonnes of rock to create a tunnel access and to sink the plant 15 metres into the quarry.

Hide AdCowdale residents have hit out at the application, claiming the blasting work will cause severe noise pollution and traffic disruption to the town.
The applicant said the development would create employment, help promote Buxton as a leading mineral water source and that the escarpment between the A6 and the quarry floor would mitigate any noise and vibration transference.
