Motorists are being given advice on how to prevent car crime.
The Derbyshire Dales Community Safety Partnership has launched a campaign to keep car crime in the area at its current low rate.
Drivers are being advised to always leave their cars locked, avoid leaving valuables in the car, park with care in well lit or secure areas, use a good quality steering lock and have a Thatcham approved alarm or immobiliser fitted.
They are also being warned to use tamper proof number plate screws which destroy the number plates if they are taken and try to use a ParkMark approved car park when parking in the Dales
Anyone who wishes to report suspicious activity or has any information about crime is urged to call Derbyshire police on 101.
Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
