Ofsted inspectors have commended Derbyshire’s careers services in a recent report. John Yarham, Futures’ chief executive, which manages the National Careers Service, said: “I am extremely pleased.”

“As an organisation enabling people to develop and realise their career aspirations, I was delighted that the report praised advisers for expertly helping customers progress and achieve positive job and learning outcomes.”

Ofsted’s inspection of the National Careers Service takes place once every three years with focus placed on outcomes for learners, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and effectiveness of leadership and management.
