This weekend marks the twentieth anniversary of Carsington Water and staff are encouraging all to come along and join the party.
Carsington – which was opened by the Queen 20 years ago – will play host to a wide range of activities this Saturday for an extra special ‘family fun day’.
Derby County Football Club will be on site while MP, Patrick McLoughlin, will be opening a new wildlife garden.
The Rangers will also be joining forces with the RSPB, the Wildlife Trust, the Bird Group and Mammal Group to showcase the sites’ contribution to conservation.
Ben Young, site manager, said: “Everyone has worked so hard to pull this together.
“It is going to be a great day for everyone to come and experience what Carsington has to offer.”
Cyclists can also take advantage of a number of routes around the reservoir and bicycles are available for hire on site.
The more adventurous visitors can even try out a number of water sports.
