CCTV images released of Matlock bank robbery

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to after a robber threatened bank staff with a gun before making off with cash.

At 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, February 18) the man entered the Royal Bank of Scotland, in Snitterton Road, Matlock, and demanded cash from the cashier.

He threatened staff with a gun and the cashier handed over an amount of money. The man left the bank and ran up Snitterton Road.

He was wearing a black hat, black scarf, black gloves and a black Nike coat which had a grey and blue logo, a blue zip and blue lining in the hood.

Officers would like anyone who recognises the man to contact them on 101, quoting crime number 7104/15.

The bank staff are not believed to have been harmed during the incident.
