Families have responded in their hundreds – and said ‘no’ to the closure of Darley Birth Centre.
Public engagement, for people to have their say on the future of the Darley Dale unit closed last week.
Health bosses also listened to the views and concerns of over 80 people who attended the two public meetings held at the Whitworth Centre.
David Black, medical director of NHS Derbyshire, said: “I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to give us their views about the birth centre at Darley Dale.
“It was important that everyone in Derbyshire had the opportunity to let us know their views.”
A final decision on the future of the birth centre will be made on December 7.
