Children have been completing top secret missions at a new spy-themed experience at Matlock Bath theme park Gulliver’s.

Spy Zone is a brand new stand-alone attraction at the Derbyshire theme park where groups of up to six children enter a series of rooms with challenges and puzzles to solve in order to progress to the next room.

The experience lasts around an hour and a half and challenges are designed to test children’s skills of observation, numeracy, literacy and problem-solving.

The attraction is aimed at children aged between 5 and 13 and offers birthday party packages as well as standard tickets.

Gulliver’s managing director Julie Dalton said: “Spy Zone offers a fun, challenging and cost-effective day out or party for kids looking for something a bit different from the usual cinema or bowling trips.

“Each group is briefed by a secret agent before they set out on their mission and they’ll discover plenty of weird and wonderful obstacles along the way as they learn or improve different skills in each room in order to complete their challenge and get their ‘spy score’ at the end.

“We had a soft launch over the Easter holidays and the response was incredible - we’ve had hundreds of mini spies giving it the thumbs up already!”
