Clay Cross road crash casualties taken to hospital

Three people had to be taken to hospital by ambulance after a car crashed in Clay Cross.

The crash happened on Furnace Hill Road, about 11.15pm, on Sunday, July 13.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “One saloon car was involved. All persons were released before the attendance of the fire service and crews made the vehicle safe.”

Fire crews from Clay Cross and Alfreton stood by to assist ambulance paramedics who attended to three casualties who were taken to hospital.

Firefighters left the crash scene just after midnight.
