Fundraiser Becky Groves took her Mercury on an unusual adventure – to the top of Kilimajaro.
Becky climbed the mountain in aid of Childreach International, a charity which works in the developing world to help improve children’s access to healthcare and education.
The six day trek raised £2,440.
Becky said: “We visited a school that had Childreach had built, showing the new kitchen with environmentally friendly wood burning stoves.
“We spent a full day playing sports with the older children as well as drawing and colouring with the younger pupils. This was an eye opening experience as well as extremely full filling to see what a difference the money we have raised could make.”
Becky raised funds from cake sales and Matlock Town Football Club and Highfields School sponsored her.
