Theft

Sheryl Brown, 47, of Newland Dale, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing food valued at £40.72 belonging to Lidl. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody. Pleaded guilty to stealing coffee valued at £36.50 belonging to Aldi. Community order to last until May 17, 2016, with a curfew and electronic monitoring, a thinking skills programme and a rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay £85 costs and a court charge of £150 and £36.50 compensation. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for a theft. No action taken on the breach.

Jason Paul Yeomans, 27, of Arundel Close, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing food valued at £11.40 belonging to Tesco. Fined £73 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

David Garrett, 33, of Oakes Row, Ironville. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing tools and accessories. Community order to last until May 18, 2016, with 120 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £449 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs with a court charge of £150.

Charles Francis, 47, of HMP Lewes. Found guilty of stealing various tools at Stoney Houghton valued at £1,750. Committed to prison for 18 weeks.

Alan James Poxton, 36, of Chapel Street, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing a Superdry Hoodie valued at £50. Pleaded guilty to interfering with a vehicle with the intention of the theft of the vehicle, or part of it or of anything carried in the vehicle. Admitted breaching his licence condition by being arrested for further offences. Committed to prison for nine weeks. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and a £180 court charge.

Angela Dawn May Hardy, 51, of Charlesworth Street, Bolsover. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing money to the value of £3,000. Committed to prison for 12 weeks. Restraining order to last until May 19, 2020. Must pay £3,000 compensation.

David Cook, 29, of Gordon Crescent, Boradmeadows, South Normanton, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to entering a building as a trespasser where he was living or intended to live. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £150 court costs.

David John Smith, 32, of Pear Tree Drive, Shirebrook. Found guilty of damaging a Peugeot 407 car. Fined £100 and must pay £495 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge. Found guilty of using threatening behaviour. Fined £100 and must pay £650 costs.

Garry Shelton, 47, of Parker Avenue, Calow, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to three counts of using threatening behaviour. No separate penalty. Indicated a guilty plea to intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over and that touching was sexual when she did not consent. Indicated a guilty plea to producing seven cannabis plants. Pleaded guilty to stealing women’s underwear valued at £30 belonging to M&S. Community order to last until May 17, 2018, with a curfew and electronic monitoring, supervision and to participate in community sex offender group work. Must pay £100 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.

John Martin David Green, 58, of Rocester Way, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over and that touching was sexual and she did not consent. Must pay £50 compensation. Indicated a guilty plea to harassment and possessing an open vessel containing alcohol when prohibited from doing so. Commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence for harassment. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of harassment and being in a public place with an open vessel containing alcohol. Committed to prison for 21 weeks.

Wayne Stuart Kirk, 35, of Langwith Road, Langwith Junction. Indicated a guilty plea to two counts of arson. Discharged conditionally for one year and must pay £100 compensation. Also given a community order to last until May 17, 2016, with a rehabilitation activity requirement and fined £20. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months. No action taken on the breach.

Simon Peter Furniss, 21, of Danby Avenue, Old Whittington, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to dishonestly using without due authority a quantity of electricity. Community order to last until August 10, 2015, with a curfew and electronic monitoring. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

Kathryn Ann Whitton, 43, of Prospect Avenue, South Normanton, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud. Committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months with supervision and 150 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £3,818.26 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Chee-Wai Cheung, 32, of Clifton Street, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly behaviour in public. Fined £215 and must pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Jonathan Woolley, 21, of Alfreton Road, Codnor, Ripley. Pleaded guilty to possessing 0.49grammes of methylmethcathinone. Fined £150 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Piotr Stefan Murzyn, 19, of Vale Drive, Shirebrook. Damaged a caravan window. Must pay £300 compensation and a £150 court charge.

Motoring

Philip John Griffiths, 20, of Steep Turnpike, Matlock. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £230 and must pay a £23 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Jason Stuart C Ward, 40, of Gloucester Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Disqualified from driving for 18 months. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. No separate penalty.

Richard John Miller, 19, of Grangewood Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Indicated a guilty plea to taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and owing to the driving an accident occurred and damage was caused to another vehicle. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with a curfew and electronic monitoring and rehabilitation activity requirement. Disqualified from driving for 18 months. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance.
