Three homes have been burgled in Buxton in the past week, including two in broad daylight.
Thieves stole jewellery from a house on Hargate Road last Tuesday between 1.45pm and 5.45pm by gaining entry through a conservatory door.
Offenders also targeted a property on Carlisle Road on the same day between 3pm and 8.45pm, stealing money, foreign currency and other items.
While at about 3.30am on Tuesday, a woman disturbed two thieves stealing jewellery and cash from her bedroom in Milton Court sheltered housing, on Broad Walk.
Buxton inspector Martin Coey said the spate of thefts was “very unusual” for the town.
