The MP for the Derbyshire Dales has claimed more than £400 to cover his bills.
Patrick McLoughlin claimed £443.54 for electricity.
A spokesman for Mr McLoughlin said: “During his time as an MP Patrick has lived in his constituency with his family but his work means he has to go to Westminster during the week, meaning two places require heating.
“He doesn’t claim any rent to live in London, but has claimed for heating and lighting his flat. Obviously, he pays all the costs of his Derbyshire home, including energy bills.”
