Derbyshire firefighters rush to two-car smash

Four people were taken to hospital after a two-car crash.

Crews from Matlock and Chesterfield were called to Sydnope Hill in Darley Moor at around 7.50pm last night.

The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a Vauxhall Corsa.

A Derbyshire police spokesman said: "In total, four people went to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.

"Three were admitted to be checked over and a fourth person - a 23-year-old woman who was passenger in the Ford Fiesta - suffered a broken leg and a broken wrist.

"She is still in hospital this morning."

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said one casualty was rescued from a vehicle.
